Indigo Marina is the station wagon version of Tata's popular compact car - Indica. Launched by Tata Motors India Limited in 2004, the car is the perfect blend of the luxury of sedan and the spaciousness of an MUV. It has a premium lifestyle appeal and delivers excellent performance, on both city and off-road tracks. Available in petrol and diesel models, Tata Indigo Marina has been positioned in the mid-sized "C" segment of cars.

The petrol model of Tata Indigo Marina is powered by 1405 cc MPFI Petrol Engine with 16-bit microprocessor, which generates a power of 85 PS @ 6000 rpm and torque of 11 kgm @ 3000 rpm. Under the hood of its diesel variant lies a Turbo Charged 1405 cc Indirect Injection Engine with Intercooler, pumping out a power of 70 PS @ 4500 rpm and maximum torque of 13.5 kgm @ 2500 rpm. The latest Marina LX DICOR is powered by 32-bit microprocessor-based 1366 cc DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) 16-valve engine, which churns out a power of 70 PS @ 400 rpm and maximum torque of 140 NM @ 1800-3000 rpm.

Design And Comfort
Tata Indigo Marina looks like an extended version of Indica. Its stylish exteriors are adorned with roof rails, chrome plated front grille, rub rails on doors, tinted door glasses, full wheel covers, and sparkling taillights. Clear lens headlamps and body-colored bumper impart a contemporary and elegant appearance to the estate car. Although Marina runs on the same stretched wheelbase of Indigo, its overall length is 5 mm shorter than the latter. The roomy interiors of Tata Indigo Marina facilitate a comfortable ride for five people.

With generous space for passengers and cargo, the cabin of Tata Indigo Marina comes with small storage space at strategic locations. The electronic instrument cluster is equipped with engine RPM meter. The car also comes with luggage retention net, rear seat with double folding facility, retractable luggage cover, and trunk lamp. The appearance of the interiors has been improved with leather wrapped gearshift knob and a sporty steering wheel.

Ride And Handling
The increased suspension displacement of Tata Indigo Marina ensures a smooth ride on bumpy roads. Since adjustable headrests are attached to all the five seats of Indigo Marina, the occupants can have a comfortable ride. Vacuum assisted dual circuit front disc and rear drum brakes setup provide a good stopping distance even when the car is fully loaded with cargo.
